ALFRED DESIO is married
to dancer/choreographer Louise Reichlin, and is Associate Director of Los
Angeles Choreographers & Dancers. He performs and tours regularly with his
show, Zapped Taps(tm)/Alfred Desio. He teaches tap dance at the Colburn School
of Performing Arts. He is the inventor of electronic tap, Tap-Tronics(tm). This
system allows a tap dancer to play electronic instruments using the sound of
the taps as a source. Alfred began 2000 with choreographing and
performing Morton Gould's Tap Dance Concerto with the San Diego Symphony
Orchestra. He again directed Caution, Men At Work: TAP, which toured to 13
states in the spring of 2000.This summer he adds Santa Monica College to his
teaching schedule (Linda Gold, the Chair, met him and they danced together in
last year's Horses Mouth), and he travels to Germany in September for one the 2
leading characters in the short film "Two In a Dress Suit."
