JANET EILBER. In her years as principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Janet Eilber has soloed at the White House, been partnered by Rudolf Nureyev, and starred in three segments of Dance in America. She has danced many of Graham’s greatest roles and had roles created for her by Graham. Her Broadway credits include Bob Fosse’s “Dancin” and a Drama Desk nomination for “Stepping Out” directed by Tommy Tune. Film and TV credits include co-starring in the films “Whose Life is it, Anyway?”, “Romantic Comedy”, and “Hard to Hold” as well as various TV series and MOWs. Eilber, recipient of two Lester Horton awards, co-founded the American Repertory Dance Company, is Co-Artistic Director of the Martha Graham Trust, and in-coming Artistic Director of the Martha Graham Dance Company.
