KAREN GOODMAN has been dancing, choreographing and teaching for 29 years, creating 33 solo and group works and 4 full-length solos.  She has received a National Endowment for the Arts Choreographer’s Fellowship, a Brody Arts Fund Fellowship, and grants from the city, county and state, as well as the Vanguard Award for Choreographic Innovation for “Hard Feelings,” which appeared in Dance Kaleidoscope in 1985.  She performed with Gloria Newman from 1970-72, was a co-founder of Eyes Wide Open Dance Theater in 1973, and danced with Rudy Perez in N.Y. and L.A. from 1977-81.  She co-founded/directed Danceworks Studio from 1978 until its closing this past February and is continuing her modern dance and movement for actors classes at other locations.  For information on classes and upcoming performances, call 323/933-7069.
