NICHOLAS GUNN began his training at Eugene Loring’s American School of Dance, then moved to New York to study with Martha Graham and with Leon Danelian at American Ballet Theatre. He joined the Paul Taylor Dance Company in 1969 and originated principal roles in over forty productions. Mr. Gunn returned to Los Angeles to study with acting guru Milton Katsellas. He appeared on TV in Mirrors, Hart to Hart, F.B.I. The Untold Stories and Hill Street Blues. Returning to New York, he performed in many musicals including America’s Sweetheart, The Mystery of Edwin Drood (winner of 5 Tony awards), Tango Apasianado (winner of the Inner City Critic’s Award), Orfeo, Blood Wedding, and Juan Darian (winner of Obie and Outer Circle Critics Awards.) Mr. Gunn returned to Hollywood to develop the film version of Without A Word with Patrick Swayze and his wife Lisa Neimi. He co-starred in Younger and Younger, and also appeared with the Los Angeles Opera Company in The Barber of Seville, The Return of Ulysses, The Magic Flute and Zeferelli’s production of Pagliacci (aired on PBS.) He teaches at Pomona College and in 1998 joined the UCLA faculty in the School of Theater, Film and Television: Ray Bolger Musical Theater Project.
