MARCIA LERNER performed frequently at Dance Theater Workshop during the 1960’s, in works by Art Bauman, James Cunningham and Deborah Jowitt. She appeared with the Martha Graham Dance Company in 1964 and 1965 in the revival of Graham’s Primitive Mysteries. She also performed with Valerie Bettis, Katherine Litz, Charles Weidman and Judith Willis, and was a member of the Lucas Hoving Dance Company from 1967 to 1969. She moved to San Francisco in 1969, where she taught dance at San Francisco State University and was a founding member of the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company. In 1984, she received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. She currently works in private practice, specializing in issues related to divorce.
