Jacqulyn Buglisi, Co Artistic Director/Choreographer of Buglisi/Foremen Dance/Threshold Dance Projects Inc. premiered in 1994 the evening-length Runes of the Heart, at Lincoln Center and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; was commissioned and presented by The Joyce Theater Altogether Different. Buglisi has performed throughout the world as a principal artist with The Martha Gtraham Dance Company for 13 years; co-founded Italy’s first Contemporary Dance Co.; is Chair of the Modern Department at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, the Juilliard School of Music, and has been on the faculty of the Martha Graham School since 1977. She has been awarded the Fiorello LaGuardia Award for Excellence in the Field of Dance, and has received grants from the Harkness Foundation, New York State Council on the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts for Choreography.
