Director/choreographer STEPHAN KOPLOWITZ has created 39 works (27 commissions) since 1984 and was the recipient of six National Endowment for the Arts Choreographer'’ Fellowships. He works equally in theaters and in site-specific venues ranging from the Natural History Museum in London, the windows of Grand Central Station to cyberspace (via his company Webbed Feats). Since 1984, he has been directing the dance program at the Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn Heights. His latest theatrical production, War with the Newts (inspired by Karel Capek’s novel) can be seen for two weeks at Dance Theater Workshop, May 7-17^th.
