MURIEL MANINGS performed with the companies of Dudley-Maslow-Bales, Sophie Maslow, and the New Dance Group in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. She was director of the Muriel Manings Dance Company, The Repertory Dancers of New Jersey and the New Dance Group Repertory Workshop. She has taught at the New Dance Group Studio, the 92^nd Street YM/YWHA, Connecticut College American Dance Festival and is retired from Queensborough Community College, CUNY, where she served as Associate Professor of Dance and Coordinator of the Dance Program. Manings was President of the American Dance Guild, 1992-1996. She produced the New Dance Group Gala Concert: An Historic Retrospective 1930’s-1970’s and co-produced the New Dance Gala concert video.
