SALLY SILVERS has been performing and choreographing for Sally Silvers
& Dancers since 1980, creating more than 60 works for the Company. She has taught composition, improvisation
and repertory at the American Dance Festival, Swarthmore College, University of
Wisconsin, Mexico City, San Luis Potosi (Mexico) and in England, Holland and
Germany. Her theoretical writing,
scores, and poetry have appeared in many journals including The Drama Review
and an anthology published by Illinois University Press. Silvers was a 1993 “Bessie” winner and her
prize-winning film collaboration, Little
Lieutenant, has toured nationally and internationally. Her second film collaboration, Mechanics of the Brain, premiered in New
York in October 1997.
